Music truly does make the world go round and while there will always be debates between one generation against the generation below them on their tastes, there is a very good chance that music will never ever die. Whether your tastes are with classical or rocking and rolling or even ridin’ dirty, for those true music afficienados, keeping their music safe and ready where ever they go is important.

Technology has not only greatly enhanced the musician and artist, but the listener as well. This helps explain it more. From records to MP3s, listeners can enjoy their music from their cars or their smartphones. But as anyone who has ever scratched a record or CD, making sure that your music can live to pass down to friends or a family of your own can be tricky. How can a listener keep their music safe in this new technological age?

One of the best things is to digitize your current music library. This basically means making copies of your CDs and placing them on your computer’s hard drive. Depending on how much music you have, your hard drive will need to be able to handle the extra 5GB or more in addition to the amount of space needed to maintain the programs you use on a daily basis.

Another way is to use the new trend of cloud computing. Cloud computing essentially allows you to access your files, documents, music, and other items through servers that are based through the Internet and are ‘in the cloud’. Programs like mSpot or Google Music allow you to upload you music folder to their servers and then access your music from anywhere – the library, your friend’s house, and even your smartphone or tablet.

Since the inception of smartphones in 2007, these amazing little devices how revolutionized our lives in a multitude of ways. We no longer have to carry around 15 different electronic devices and our social networks are just a few thumb-clicks away. As awe-inspiring as smartphones are though, how smart is too smart?

Hundreds of millions of smartphones are sold each year and it seems almost everyone has become a slave to these devices. I’m no exception, I’ve become so reliant on my smart phone for daily tasks that I, like most of you, wouldn’t be able to find that coffee shop downtown or make it through my cardio workout without it.

Calling this devices smartphones, may be missing the mark a bit. They’ve evolved far beyond traditional cell phones and the ability to make calls is just a tiny portion of their capabilities. A more appropriate title might be mobile computer. That said, since the dawn of the computing age computers have become closer and closer to us. In the beginning a computer was a monstrosity that commanded entire room volumes. Then came the PC and computing became more accessible to the average person. Smart phones are the next evolution of the PC and we carry them around in our pockets. It makes you wonder, just what is the next evolution of personal computing?Take a look here to learn more: The Dawn of the Post-PC Era. Not.

While there are always multiple trends taking place in the automotive industry at any given time, the recent trends seem to revolve around fuel economy. The main emphasis in the last few years has been to reduce conventional fuel consumption.
The two main driving forces behind this focus are rising oil prices and the threat of increased pollution. Higher fuel costs are obviously going to force manufacturers to make more efficient automobiles, but the danger of more pollutants stems primarily from the growing markets in China and India.
These two countries, with their massive populations, could greatly increase global pollution levels as more of their people purchase vehicles. Global warming issues have also concerned many people. The most innovative way companies are making their vehicles more efficient is with hybrid-electric technology.
This technology began in Japan, but has since expanded to companies in other countries. The competition has brought down costs and provided more options. In the area of alternative fuels, the main emphasis has been on electricity.
Continued improvements in storage batteries has increased the range of these vehicles, making them more attractive to consumers. The future points towards vehicles that are both cleaner and more affordable to run.

Whether you use your clear wireless internet to check your email or file through spreadsheets you’re probably on the computer too much. Real inventors spend hoursinventing: here’s how to get back to it so one of your inventions can be featured on our site!
Make a Space: It’s important to have a designated area for inventing. Make it your basement, a home office or even a garage and be sure to deck it out with all you’ll need (a white board? A craft table?) to really bring your ideas to life.
Carve out Time: It’s easy to let inventing get away from you when your hours are consumed with work and family but we recommend you try to set aside 2-3 hours a week for dedicated inventing, preferably at one time.
Make Some Contacts: If you haven’t already, set yourself up to succeed when you finally do come up with a product that’s worthy of patenting. Get in touch with a patent attorney you can call and a production agent that can get mock ups of your product made when you’re ready.

Heading into the future with new technologies, lets not forget about the pets. With so many gadgets and technologies that are out there to improve human lives, there must be some out there to improve the lives of pets. There are many new gadgets and technologies that are being developed for the not-to-be-forgotten loved ones in the family.

One such device that is being developed for man’s best friend is a GPS backpack that straps onto the back of the dog and guides them where to go. Future uses of the device involves rescue missions. The GPS receives coordinates for the direction the dog is headed and the device guides the dog. The device uses vibrations and tones that encourage the dog to walk toward the coordinates that are in the system.

For those having concerns with whether the device is humane, there are no shocks involved. The device inflicts no pain on the dog when encouraging them to move. It merely vibrates on certain points of the body and sends out certain tones, in order to encourage them to move in a certain direction. The use of such a system seems more reliable than a robot doing the same rescue mission.

The days of wooden spoons and wire whisks are fading away, and the lastest trend in kitchenware are electronic kitchen gadgets. Computerized cooking is the wave of the future, and here are a few gadgets for the kitchen.

1) Meat Thermometer Fork

An electric meat thermometer fork is a must-have for any grilling enthusiast. Stick the two-pronged fork into your cut of meat and the temperature will display on the handle. Now you have no excuse to overcook those steaks!

2) Electric Evaporator

Evaporators will suck the juices out of any food through applying heat and pressure. The resulting condensation is collected into a liquid and you can use it to add flavor to any dish. Bacon juice, anyone?

3) Automatic Pancake Machine

Yes, just like it sounds, this machine will take pancake batter and automatically form perfect pancakes. No more skillet, no more spatula, no more messy flips… just pure pancake delight.

4) Computer/Refrigerator

Refrigerators have been electronic for decades, but only recently have they become computerized. That’s right, you can send email or instant message from a panel on your fridge, perfect for those who don’t want to carry their laptop everywhere but still stay connected in the kitchen.
